My New Rank - Valentines Day '10

Anthony brought home two bouquets for Valentine's Day. One for me, and one for his daughters. One was a bouquet of three red roses. The other, a less formal bouquet of white mums, featuring, what were supposed to be 3 pink roses in the middle. He called Olivia over, handed her the bouquet of red roses and said, "Happy Valentine's Day Olivia! These flowers are for you and Lilah." Surprised, thinking the red ones were for me, I said, "Oh, those aren't for me?" He said, "No cause I didn't think you liked roses..." To which I replied, "Oh, well, did you notice that this bouquet has roses in it, one of which is brown and dead?" We both just died in laughter.

Now, a little explanation: It's not that I don't like roses... First, I feel money is better spent on other things rather than flowers. Second, I've voiced to him, that if he is going to spend the money on flowers, there are lots of flowers I prefer over roses. I was SO not offended. I actually thought it was hilarious! I am tickled pink my husband is SO IN LOVE with his daughters. I will gladly take a back seat.

I knew that my rank is in staunch competition with, not only both of my girls, but right now, especially Olivia, but this just put the nail in the coffin. Pretty great huh?
